Our take
I've been spinning with the Stanton STR8.150, and it's a solid workhorse. The direct-drive motor gives you instant start-up and strong torque, great for scratching. The straight tonearm tracks well, and the included Ortofon Concorde Pro S is a nice bonus – saves you from buying a separate cartridge. Pitch control is smooth with +/-10% range, and having 78 RPM is handy for old records. Build feels decent, though it's made in China. My only gripe: at this price, I'd expect a bit more refinement – the pitch slider is a little wobbly. Overall, a reliable turntable for DJs who want versatility without breaking the bank.
